Melon Yogurt Bowls

for toddlers that can use a spoon and older

Ingredients:

1 round fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, or papaya)
1 cup of plain or flavored yogurt

Instructions:

Cut cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, or papaya in half (length-wise or width-wise) and scoop out any seeds. Use a melon baller or small spoon to scoop out balls. Reserve the rind shells for later use as bowls. Return melon balls to shell bowls with a cup of plain or flavored yogurt for each bowl. Serve immediately. Kids will love the natural bowls and you wont have to wash them out. If the bowls are rolling around and unstable, cut a thin slice off the bottom to make them flatter. If you cut too much off the bottom, place the melon bowl on a plate to keep it from leaking.

If you are making a fruit salad, this is a good recipe to incorperate into the family meal. Fill the mellon bowl with the finished fruit salad.
