16. William³ McAtee Sr. (Edmund Charles², Patrick¹) was born Bef. 1710. William died 1771 in Frederick Co. Maryland, at 61 years of age.

He married Elizabeth. Elizabeth became the mother of James McAtee 1733.

At 23 years of age William became the father of James McAtee 1733.

Historical events during the life of William McAtee Sr.: birth of Jean Jacques Rousseau, social contractor on June 28, 1712; birth of Daniel Boone, American frontiersman, explorer and militia officer on November 2, 1734; birth of Aloys Senefelder, inventor of lithography on November 6, 1771.

William McAtee Sr. and Elizabeth had the following children:

+ 62 i. William⁴ McAtee.

63 ii. James McAtee was born 1733. James died 1826 in Frederick Co. Maryland, at 93 years of age.
