8. James² McAtee (Patrick¹) was born in Charles Co. Maryland March 25, 1695. James died 1764 at 69 years of age.

He married Ignatius Smith Before 1730. Ignatius was born Between 1691-1710. Ignatius became the mother of Anna McAtee After 1730.

James became the father of Anna McAtee After 1730.

Historical events during the life of James McAtee: Captain Kidd hanged in London for piracy and murder on May 23, 1701; 1st Jewish congregation in America consecrates their synagogue on April 8, 1730; birth of Martha Washington on June 2, 1731; 1st medical school in the colonies was organized, later to become the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine on May 3, 1765.

James McAtee and Ignatius Smith had the following children:
